“Amaizing place, great location and very hospitable. Would recommend if you're looking for something nice and private in the Queen Elizabeth Park area. The walk around the twin Crater lakes is a must ! :)"

"We enjoyed our stay very much! The house location on top of a small hill assures fresh winds (no mosquitos) and a star filled sky at night. The garden around the house has a lot of delicious things like fresh guavas. The staff prepared a campfire every night and supplied us with food from the local market."

"Super charming house with stunning views of the park and surroundings hills. Hosts are very reactive and helpful to recommend activities and local contacts. My family and I stayed there for a full week, and we had an amazing peaceful and relaxing time. Now planning to come back with friends ! 10/10"

"We had a wonderful week (5 nights) at Iris's place. The Gite is a little slice of paradise, quiet, with beautiful views and outdoor space for children. Charming indoors or out by the fire. There is no shortage of activities around: walks around the crater-lacs, visit the Queen Elizabeth, discovery of the surrounding villages... The welcome and the various services were impeccable. Recommended"

"Great place to stay in a beautiful setting. Compared to the accommodations before, it was a great standard. We were organized tours through the hostess and they took good care of us."

"The house is in a stunning location. Sitting on the super cute balcony to your left lie the Rift Valley, Africa's third highest mountain and the Virunga massif of the Congo, and to your right lie volcanic hills and fields of coffee and matooke....There is a fantastic walk from the house. Turn right at the bottom of the track and left at the Kyambura Gorge Lodge sign. Follow the track, which becomes a path that starts to wind, and leads to a shelter. Continue to the top of the hill just beyond, and you will be all alone with an unforgettable view of Kasese National Park (it's not actually called Kasese, but hopefully it will be one day soon, and perhaps the lakes could be renamed too!). Iris is super helpful throughout, and there is a warm welcome from the very hospitable Anifa."

“The House is very nice styled With a lot of space and a wonderful view into the valley from the front porch. The kitchen is very well equipped with a well functioning stove, no oven. The room description for the bedrooms is a little bit misleading. It is two bedrooms with in total three big double beds. The separation is African style, no wooden doors but heavy curtains. The walls between the bedrooms are open to the top. The communication with Iris was very good, she is very nice and friendly and highly responsive. We felt very safe in the house also due to the guard Joseph who was available at all times. Thank you for a very pleasant stay, Iris!
